How to join?
We would love to bring everyone with us on this tour. That being said, we value giving personal service and want to ensure we have a motivating group dynamic. Because of this, we will select participants based on their motivation letters. Selections will not be based on factors such as race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender. Please take into account that photoshoot locations, accommodation, as well as transport are not wheelchair accessible. It is recommended to be in reasonable physical health due to the intense program.
5. The tour organisers are not to be held responsible or liable for any personal injury or damage to property during, or immediately surrounding the tour
6. The tour organisers may use the images taken by the participants during the photography tour, with credit to the participant, for the promotion of any future photography tour
7. The tour organisers reserve the right to refuse participation during the photography tour for participants who are not willing to cooperate with the group or behave disrespectfully or in a dangerous manner towards other participants, the hosts, or the models.

1. The participant retains copyright to all images taken by them during the photography tour. The photos taken by you may be used for your personal and business purposes, Further commercial use must be discussed with the models in question on a case-by-case basis. You will receive a copy of the model release signed by the models. Images may not be used for the purpose of promote your own tour or workshop held in Finland.
2. When posting images taken during the tour on social media, the participant must mention the following “Photograph taken during the Nordic Tales tour 2022 organised by @kreetales and @minhdanvufotografie” and use the hashtag #nordictales2022.
3. The participant gives permission to be seen on photographic and videographic material created during the tour for the purpose of promoting future tours.
4. The retainer of €500,- is required to secure your spot on the tour and is non-refundable, unless the tour is cancelled in full by the organizers. Acquiring travel insurance is highly recommended for each participant.

We are on a mission to organise the best possible experience for all the awesome participants joining us on this special journey! A part of this is being fully transparent about the technicalities of the trip. Below of are some of the most frequently asked questions to help you. If you have anything in mind that isn't answered here, on this page, or in the brochure, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We would be more than happy to answer your questions!

Every level of photographer is welcome! However, it is recommended to take some time to get to know your camera before joining the tour.
This tour contains continued support from two experienced equine photographers, including one-on-one sessions designed to help you get the most out of the tour in terms of improving your technical and theoretical skills on both photography and editing. We will set personal goals and work together to bring your photography to the next level!
We have carefully curated a variety of photoshoots at different locations such as forests, flower fields, and lakes. We will mainly be photographing in the afternoons, as well as during sunset. We have a fantastic selection of horse models of different breeds (including the very special Finnhorse) and colors lined up. The focus of the photoshoots are on the horses and the nature. You will also have the opportunity to photograph the horses together with their owners in traditional Finnish scenes.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Beautiful horses in beautiful, natural sceneries.
Action shots, mostly without a rider.
Possibility to photograph individual horses and herds.
Posed portraits both with and without a human.
The photoshoot programme is relatively intense, but besides photography, editing, and workshops, you will also have some free time. During this time you will have the opportunity to explore Finnish nature, jump in a lake for a morning swim, as well as enjoy a traditional sauna which will heat up every day if you’d like it to.
You will also have the opportunity to go on a trail ride, or take part on a carriage ride in Helsinki, also with a Finnhorse and traditional wagons.
The photos taken by you can be used for your personal and business portfolio both online and offline. However, other commercial use will have to be agreed upon with the models in question on a case-by-case basis. You will receive a copy of the model release signed by the models to help specify when you will be expected to get in touch with the models to receive permission for other commercial use scenarios.
It is not allowed for you to use the images to promote your own tour or workshop held in Finland.
We know that the future is still uncertain because of COVID-19. Should the tour be cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund -including your retainer. Should your participation be cancelled due to illness or injury, all fees apart from the non-refundable retainer (€500,-) will be returned. We advice all participants to get travel insurance that will cover fees resulting from cancellations, including reasons related to COVID-19. During the tour, COVID-19 regulations in Finland at the time of the tour will be followed.

Meet your hosts
One of the big loves of my life is telling the stories of horses and their humans through my photography. I can't wait to not only share my passion for photographing equines, but also my beautiful home country with you!

- Finnish born and now living in The Netherlands
- Loves more things than not (which often makes time management challenging -good thing I also love planning)
- Studies cognitive neuroscience and teaches horse riding
